First time raya berjauhan dari keluarga, initialy did not plan anything but luckily our cousin Dr. Hajar and Dr. Yutaro wanted to celebrate eid with us. So since they are coming to Leeds, we also invited a few of our close friends to come to our humble apartment. Kak Jat is a good cook. I helped her. There are quite number of dishes that we managed to prepare. Among them are Masak Lodeh, Rendang Daging, Ayam masak Kicap (Javanese eats this during raya), kuah kacang (kak Jat preapred in Nottingham..a special one using peanut butter), and cookies( kak Jat made it special like Famous amos yummy) and Air Bandung Yutaro's receipy..sedap. Supposingly my sis form Paris is also going to join us, unfortunately she can'n make it, ada exam and class.
Actually Aidildha falls on Friday 26 October but since everybody are working, infact Helmi has exam on that Aidiladha Day and schooling as usual so we celebrate it on Saturday.
Kak Jat (Dr. Hajar) and hubby arrives morning and I prepared my version of nasi lemak for breakfast and we start cooking at about 12noon. The guests arrived at 3pm..Thought of just wearing pants and blouse..but since our VIP guest Dr. Hajar and Yutaro wearing proper Raya attire so I have to dig up my only baju kurung in the lugguage..The kids, just wear them dresses and tights..

The next day on Sunday MSCL..Malaysian Student Comunity Leeds held an ocassion -sambutan Raya Aidiladha for the students and Malaysian in Leeds. We arrived late but managed to meet some of them.
